MedLife plans 20% capital increase and regional expansion
MedLife, a leader in Romania’s private healthcare services market, has announced a new development strategy focused on local consolidation and expansion across Central and Eastern Europe, with a particular emphasis on the Balkan region.
The group is considering two major financial initiatives to support this growth. First, it seeks a shareholder mandate to potentially issue new shares representing up to 20% of its share capital over the next 18 months, depending on market conditions and investment opportunities. These funds would be directed toward organic development, medical infrastructure, and market consolidation.
Second, MedLife is exploring the creation of a regional investment platform for healthcare, prevention, and wellness in partnership with an international financial institution. This platform would aim to invest over a three-to-five-year period in companies across Romania and other CEE markets, including Hungary and Moldova.
