MedTech advances remote cardiac and physiological monitoring

Developments in MedTech are advancing remote physiological monitoring through new non-invasive cardiac and multi-parameter devices.

A Spanish MedTech company has developed a non-invasive, portable cardiac monitor designed for early detection and management of cardiovascular diseases. The device utilizes a 30-second multi-sensor process—incorporating ECG, acoustic PCG, and PPG—combined with a cloud-based AI engine to capture synchronized trimodal signals. The technology aims to predict biomarkers like NTproBNP up to 15 days in advance, potentially reducing hospitalizations and diagnostic times. The company holds a European patent and is seeking international distributors and investors.

In Europe, the Strasbourg-based company RDS has developed MultiSense, a miniaturized multi-parametric system for home-based patient monitoring. The system uses a 25-gram flexible, waterproof connected patch to measure six parameters: heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, skin temperature, physical activity, and posture. Data is transmitted in near real-time to a secure platform, allowing medical teams to monitor vital signs remotely and respond to complications post-surgery. MultiSense is currently deployed in approximately twenty medical departments across France and Germany.
