Medtronic PLC sees increased institutional holdings amid CoreWeave debt concerns
Medtronic PLC has seen significant increases in institutional holdings. First Eagle Investment Management LLC raised its position in the medical technology company by 37.2% during the second quarter, bringing its total ownership to approximately $1.08 billion. Other major investors also expanded their stakes, including the California State Teachers Retirement System, which increased its holdings by 7,655.7%, and BlackRock Inc., which grew its position by 0.7%.
Separately, CoreWeave is facing scrutiny regarding its growing debt levels relative to revenue. While the AI cloud infrastructure company reported a 112% year-over-year revenue increase to $2.58 billion, it currently carries approximately $35 billion in debt. Analysts have noted the company's high capital expenditure requirements, suggesting a heavy reliance on continuous infrastructure upgrades to monetize its capacity.
