Medtronic receives FORTUNE recognition and key regulatory clearances

Medtronic has achieved several regulatory and recognition milestones across its surgical and electrophysiology portfolios. The company was named to the FORTUNE 2026 Change the World list, recognized for its Touch Surgery ecosystem and the Medtronic LABS Healthy Neighbor program. The Touch Surgery platform utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze surgical procedures and provide real-time support, such as the Touch Surgery Aide compute platform, to assist surgical teams globally.

Through Medtronic LABS and a partnership with Virtua Health, the Healthy Neighbor program in Camden, New Jersey, addresses chronic health disparities by deploying community health workers to assist patients managing hypertension and type 2 diabetes.

In the field of electrophysiology, Medtronic’s Affera Prism-2 mapping software has received both FDA clearance and CE marking. The software provides high-resolution 3D mapping of cardiac electrical activity and integrates magnetic and impedance-based tracking. This technology allows for procedures to be performed with minimal or no fluoroscopy, reducing radiation exposure for both patients and clinical staff. Additionally, the PulseSelect ProxBox adapter has received CE marking.
