Medulance raises Rs 24 crore to expand emergency healthcare network

Indian healthtech startup Medulance has secured Rs 24 crore (approximately $2.5 million) in a Series A-2 funding round. The investment was led by Auxano Capital, Alkemi, and Equentis, with participation from a group of angel investors.

The company intends to utilize the capital to expand its emergency response infrastructure across India, strengthen its hospital and enterprise business segments, and further develop its technology platform. Medulance specializes in tech-enabled ambulance and pre-hospital emergency services, utilizing GPS and 5G-enabled technology to transmit real-time patient data to hospital dashboards during transit.

Founded by Pranav Bajaj and Ravjot Singh Arora, the startup currently operates a network of more than 15,000 ambulances across over 500 cities. Its services cover more than eight million people and manage approximately 5,000 emergency calls daily. The company reports an average response time of under 11 minutes and a fleet uptime of 95%.
