Medusa returns to Netflix for second season

The Colombian series Medusa has returned to Netflix for its second season, following a highly successful first season that accumulated approximately 177 million hours viewed in 2025. The new season consists of twelve episodes that follow the Hidalgo family as Bárbara Hidalgo, portrayed by Juana Acosta, attempts to reclaim control of her family's powerful conglomerate in Barranquilla.

In the new episodes, Bárbara faces emerging threats while the character Danger continues his investigation. The plot involves a targeted attack on Cristian, which forces the characters back to Barranquilla, where long-held family secrets resurface.

Actress Juana Acosta has also discussed her personal wellness routine ahead of the release. She noted that practicing Pilates has been instrumental in helping her achieve physical toning and mental calm, providing a sense of body awareness and breath connection that she finds essential.
