Meenakshi Natarajan expected to exit Telangana Congress in-charge role

Meenakshi Natarajan is expected to step down as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Telangana to pursue higher studies abroad for approximately 10 months.

The Congress high command is reportedly considering several senior leaders to fill the vacancy. Potential candidates include former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Mukul Wasnik, Shaktisinh Gohil, and Digvijaya Singh.

Natarajan has held the position since February last year. While reports suggest there may have been internal differences between Natarajan and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding the functioning of the state unit, these allegations have not been officially confirmed by the AICC or the Chief Minister’s office.
