Meerut Mavericks win UPT20 League title over Lucknow Falcons

The Meerut Mavericks secured the UPT20 League 2026 title with a dominant 94-run victory over the Lucknow Falcons in the final. After winning the toss, Meerut posted a total of 203/7, fueled by a century from Divyansh Joshi, who scored 105 runs off just 40 balls.

In response, the Lucknow Falcons were bowled out for 109 in 16 overs. Abhinandan Singh was the standout bowler for Lucknow, taking 3 wickets for 40 runs. This victory marks the second UPT20 title for the Mavericks, who previously won in 2024.

Prior to the final, Meerut captain Rinku Singh played a pivotal role in guiding the team to their fourth consecutive final. Singh played through significant physical pain, utilizing painkillers to remain unbeaten during Qualifier 2, where he helped the team chase down Noida’s target of 134.
