Meerut Police recover missing 8-month-old child

Meerut Police in Uttar Pradesh have successfully located an 8-month-old child who had been missing for five days. The investigation began after a resident reported that his wife had left the house with the infant and subsequently returned alone.

To locate the child, authorities analyzed footage from over 150 CCTV cameras and questioned approximately 200 individuals, including e-rickshaw and auto drivers, as well as local shopkeepers. The child's mother, who was reportedly suffering from mental health issues, was unable to provide clear information during the initial inquiry.

Following the intensive search, the infant was safely recovered in Bhudbaral village within the Partapur police station area on August 15, 2026.
