Mega City Force launches on consoles August 21

The retro‑futuristic roguelike Mega City Force, which debuted on Steam in 2023, is set to arrive on major home consoles on August 21. The release will cover PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, expanding the game’s audience beyond PC.

Players can fight solo or in local co‑op, selecting from a roster of agents each with unique abilities. The game features procedurally generated levels, a wide arsenal of weapons, and unlockable higher‑difficulty modes and legendary‑style outfits after a first playthrough. Its aesthetic draws on 1980s‑1990s action movies and arcade titles, with neon‑lit pixel art and a synthwave soundtrack that includes collectible cassettes from artists such as Timecop1983 and Sublunar.
