Brazil cultural events feature hip hop in João Pessoa and Carnival prep in Rio

The Batalha do Beco cultural project, supported by the João Pessoa Cultural Foundation (Funjope), is hosting an event at Praça Rio Branco featuring DJs Adriano Preto and Iordz. The initiative aims to promote hip hop and peripheral cultural expressions within the historic center of João Pessoa.

In Rio de Janeiro, the Banda dos Amigos is celebrating its 10th anniversary and launching its 2027 Carnival theme, ‘Mulher’, which honors female strength. Meanwhile, in Caruaru, Pernambuco, the Mundo Bita musical group will perform the ‘Festa dos Bichos’ show as part of the Rolê REC’n’Play event.

Other regional cultural updates include the samba school Chegou o que Faltava preparing for Carnival 2027 with a theme inspired by the history of Itaúnas, Espírito Santo.
