Mega Fundeira River Beach offers quiet retreat in Pedrógão Grande

The Mega Fundeira River Beach, located in the Pedrógão Grande municipality near the village of Picha, offers a tranquil alternative to more crowded coastal areas. Situated at kilometer 306 of National Road 2 (EN2), the beach is fed by the Zêzere River and is noted for its clear, cool waters.

Despite its small size, the site provides several amenities for visitors, including a grassy area, a picnic park, barbecue facilities, sanitary installations, and a bar with a terrace. The area also features a restored traditional water mill and the Mega Fundeira Trail, which follows the Mega Stream to showcase the local natural landscape and vegetation. The beach is part of the Pedrógão Grande Nautical Station, a certified facility dedicated to river-based nature activities.
