Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots Reach Record $1.19 Billion

The Mega Millions jackpot reached an estimated $672 million (cash option $293.3 million) for the July 17 drawing, while the Powerball Grand Prize was set at $526 million (cash $233.5 million) for the July 18 drawing. Together the two multi‑state games offered more than $1.19 billion in top prizes, the largest combined offering in 2026.

Texas Lottery officials highlighted the timing with National Lottery Day, noting the jackpots boost ticket sales and generate revenue for public education in Texas. They reminded players to gamble responsibly and noted that if the Mega Millions jackpot rolls over, it could rise to $707 million for the next draw on July 21.
