Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia has officially presented American hitter Alexandra Frantti as its new player. Frantti joins the team to replace the injured Loveth Omoruyi.
Born in 1996 in Highland Park, Illinois, Frantti brings extensive international experience to the Italian league. Her career includes an NCAA title with Penn State, as well as stints in Slovenia, France, and Poland. She previously played in Italy for Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri and Trasportipesanti Casalmaggiore, and most recently spent three seasons in Turkey playing for VakifBank and Galatasaray.
Sporting director Tatiana Kosheleva noted that the club sought a player with the strength and experience to help reach their seasonal objectives following Omoruyi's injury. Coach Andrea Pistola added that Frantti was a primary target due to her ability to fulfill the specific roles required by the team.
