Megadeth Announces Final Farewell Tour Across Europe and Australia

American thrash metal band Megadeth has confirmed its dissolution and will embark on a final world tour. The band’s self‑titled last studio album topped charts in several countries, and front‑man Dave Mustaine cited hand problems as a key reason for ending the group’s live run.

The European leg, dubbed “Breakout: Hibernation of The Nations Europe,” includes four German dates – Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin – as well as shows in the United Kingdom, France and Spain, supported by Black Label Society and Testament. An Australian leg is also scheduled for November, with Megadeth sharing the bill with Iron Maiden in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Mustaine reflected on the band’s nearly five‑decade history, expressing a wish that Megadeth had maintained a single lineup and emphasizing his commitment to delivering high‑quality performances until the very end.
