Megadeth performs and discusses career at Grammy Museum

On September 24, the thrash metal band Megadeth held an exclusive event at the Grammy Museum’s Ray Charles Rooftop Terrace in Los Angeles. The program featured a question-and-answer session moderated by former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield, alongside a special musical performance.

Band members Dave Mustaine, James LoMenzo, Dirk Verbeuren, and Teemu Mäntysaari discussed their creative processes, their long career, and the release of their seventeenth studio album. Bassist James LoMenzo noted the band's recent success, mentioning that their self-titled album became their first to top the Billboard 200 in the United States in early 2026.

Drummer Dirk Verbeuren described the recording process as a “brotherly experience,” noting that the band focused on making their best possible record even before the decision was made to make it their final album.
