MegaHouse to release Butaminton DX pig-shaped racket game

MegaHouse, a member of the Bandai Namco Group, has announced the mid-September 2026 release of ‘Butaminton DX Kohaku Buta Kassen’, an enhanced version of its popular pig-shaped racket sports game.

The new deluxe edition features pig-shaped rackets that are approximately 300% larger than the original version released in 2025. This increased size allows for a significantly higher volume of air to be expelled from the pig’s nose, creating more unpredictable and powerful movements for the shuttlecocks during play.

The set includes new components such as a redesigned net and mini shuttlecocks, enabling various new gameplay modes. These include ‘Hachamecha Butaminton’, where five shuttlecocks are used simultaneously, and ‘Kohaku 羽根入れ合戦’ (Red and White Shuttlecock Battle), a team-based mode where players compete to land shuttlecocks of their team color into net pockets. The product is priced at 6,578 yen (including tax).
