Megan Schutt suspended for two matches over medication breach

Australian fast bowler Megan Schutt has received a two-match suspension following a breach of prescription medication requirements, according to Cricket Australia. The ban applies to all international and domestic cricket.

Cricket Australia stated the violation was a single incident that occurred while out of competition and was not for performance-enhancing purposes. The breach involved a failure to adhere to the Sports Science and Sports Medicine guidelines.

As a result of the suspension, the 33-year-old bowler will miss the third T20I against New Zealand in Sydney and the Adelaide Strikers' opening Weber WBBL 12 match against the Melbourne Stars on October 31. Schutt issued a statement apologizing for failing to meet expected standards and accepting the penalty.
