MegaTrans event addresses future of Australian transport and logistics

The MegaTrans event is being held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, bringing together industry leaders, fleet operators, and technology providers to discuss the future of the transport and logistics sector. The conference focuses on critical industry trends including automation, artificial intelligence, decarbonisation, cybersecurity, and supply chain resilience.

Victorian Minister for Ports and Freight, Melissa Horne, is scheduled to provide insights into government priorities regarding freight infrastructure and supply chains. The event arrives as the industry faces pressure to embrace digital transformation and prepare for lower-emission freight networks.

Microlise, a Silver Sponsor of the event, will showcase fleet management solutions and participate in discussions regarding workforce challenges. Data indicates that Australia’s freight task is projected to grow by 26 per cent by 2050, while approximately 44 per cent of Australian transport and logistics professionals are considering leaving the industry within the next five years.
