Meghalaya secured a 3-0 victory against Maharashtra in their second Group C match of the Junior Boys National Football Championship 2026-27 (Tier 1) for the Dr BC Roy Trophy in Bengaluru.

Adriel B Nongbet scored twice in the 18th and 47th minutes, while Habankhlur Lyngdoh Mawnai added a third goal in the 52nd minute. Following this win and a previous 2-1 victory against Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya sits tied with Mizoram on 6 points.

Meghalaya faces Mizoram in their final group match on Saturday. Because Mizoram holds a superior goal difference, Meghalaya must win their upcoming match to qualify for the semifinals, as only the top team from each group advances to the knockout stage.
