Meghalaya Police defeat Sawmer 4-2 in Shillong Premier League

Meghalaya Police (MLP) secured a 4-2 victory against Sawmer in a Shillong Premier League 2026 match held at the SSA Stadium. Despite falling behind twice during the contest, MLP managed to overturn the lead.

Sawmer opened the scoring with goals from Diego Khyriem in the 2nd minute and Banteilang Lyngdoh in the 11th minute. MLP responded through Pynshaidor Nongrang in the 5th minute and Rapborlang Marwein in the 15th minute to level the score.

In the second half, Bikram Chettri scored a header from a corner in the 67th minute to put MLP ahead. Pynshailang L Lyngkhoi added a fourth goal in the 84th minute following a defensive breakdown by Sawmer to finalize the score.
