Meghan Markle and Prince Harry face uncertainty with Netflix projects

The professional partnership between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Hollywood is facing significant challenges, according to industry reports. While the couple maintains a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix through Archewell Productions, several projects appear to have stalled.

Netflix reportedly backed out of a partnership with Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, due to performance concerns. Although the Harry and Meghan docuseries was successful, subsequent projects have reportedly failed to generate similar viewership, leading to suggestions that the streaming service may have lost money on the partnership.

Two film projects, Meet Me at the Lake and The Wedding Date, are currently listed as being in development. However, sources indicate there has been no significant progress on these adaptations since March. While some industry experts view this as standard development pace, others suggest the couple’s influence within the entertainment industry is weakening.
