Meghan Markle recently celebrated her 45th birthday, marking the occasion with personal social media posts. The Duchess shared videos of herself dancing in her Montecito home and jumping into a pool. While fans offered congratulations, some royal experts criticized the content as being "very, very contrived" and overly controlled in an attempt to project a carefree image.

Regarding royal protocol, the absence of public birthday wishes from the British Royal Family, including King Charles III and the Prince and Princess of Wales, was attributed to established rules. Under protocol implemented by Queen Elizabeth II, public tributes are typically reserved for milestone birthdays ending in zero, meaning Meghan's 45th did not qualify for official social media announcements.

Separately, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle traveled to Victoria, British Columbia, to support music producer David Foster at the 40th anniversary of the David Foster Foundation. During this appearance, Meghan wore diamond and sapphire earrings that previously belonged to Princess Diana, serving as a tribute to her late mother-in-law. The couple attended the gala alongside Foster and his wife, Katharine McPhee.
