Prince Harry returns to UK; Meghan and children skip public events

Prince Harry arrived in the United Kingdom on July 7 for a five‑day visit centred on promoting the 2027 Invictus Games and other charitable engagements. His stay has been marked by a dispute over security: a court loss over privacy claims and the British government’s refusal to provide taxpayer‑funded police protection have led to the withdrawal of a Buckingham Palace accommodation offer.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was initially slated to travel with their children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), and to attend a Birmingham Invictus Games event.
