Meghan McCain responds to Joy Behar’s comments regarding ‘The View’

Meghan McCain has responded to recent comments made by former ‘The View’ co-host Joy Behar, dismissing requests to engage in further conflict. The exchange follows a Vulture interview in which Behar praised the current panel for their humor and noted that, unlike in previous years, ‘nobody’s mean over there,’ adding that there had been ‘a couple of little mean girls’ during her tenure.

While Behar did not name specific individuals, the comments were widely interpreted as a reference to McCain. McCain addressed the speculation on X, stating, ‘You guys keep asking me for a response and for real, I’m not fighting with an 84-year-old. She can say whatever she wants at her stage in life.’

The tension between the two women dates back to McCain’s time on the program, which ended in 2021. McCain has previously cited an on-air remark by Behar regarding her maternity leave as a significant factor in her decision to leave the show.
