Mełgiew blood donation drive supports regional supplies

A blood donation drive held during the harvest festival in Mełgiew resulted in 17 successful donations, including nine from first-time donors. The initiative was supported by the Mełgiew commune mayor, the local parish, and the Volunteer Fire Department.

Regional blood centers are currently facing shortages following the summer period, a time often associated with increased accidents. The next major collection event is scheduled for August 30 at the Świdnik grass airfield, marking the 20th collection of the year organized by workplace donors. Subsequent drives are planned for early September in Piaski and Świdnik.
