Mehedinți County prepares €40 million waste management project

Local authorities and representatives from ADIS Mehedinți have convened to prepare a large-scale project titled "Extension and consolidation of the Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Mehedinți County." The project, valued at approximately 40 million euros, aims to modernize the Integrated Waste Management Center in Malovăț.

Key objectives include expanding separate waste collection across the entire county and implementing investments to increase recycling rates while reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills. Authorities are working to ensure all necessary documentation and local decisions align with European funding requirements to facilitate the application process.
