Mehler Systems acquires majority stake in Bulgaria's MARS Armor

German group Mehler Systems, owner of brands including Mehler Protection, Lindnerhof Taktik, and UF PRO, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in MARS Armor, a Bulgarian manufacturer of personal ballistic protection solutions.

Based in Kostinbrod, Bulgaria, MARS Armor specializes in designing and producing protective equipment for military, law enforcement, and government agencies. Its product portfolio includes ballistic vests, hard and soft armor inserts, helmets, shields, and specialized demining suits. The company also maintains in-house ballistic and stab-resistance testing capabilities.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen Mehler Systems’ presence in Eastern Europe, expand its product offerings, and reinforce its EU-based supply chain. MARS Armor will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership, with support from the Mehler Systems Group.
