Mehli Mistry to step down as Tata Medical Centre Trust trustee

Mehli K Mistry, a long-time associate of the late industrialist Ratan Tata, has decided not to seek re-election as a trustee of the Tata Medical Centre Trust. His current term is scheduled to conclude on September 30, 2026.

Mistry communicated his decision via email to Arun Pattatheyil, the CEO of the Tata Medical Centre, requesting that his choice not to renew his term be officially recorded. The correspondence was also shared with Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata and several other trustees.

The Kolkata-based Tata Medical Centre Trust operates the Tata Medical Centre, a 436-bed non-profit tertiary cancer hospital providing affordable treatment, screening, and palliative care.

Mistry’s departure follows a series of exits from various Tata-linked entities. He previously resigned as a director of RNT Associates Private Limited in July 2026 and stepped down from the Ratan Tata Endowment Trust and the Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation. He also left the main Tata Trusts in October 2025.
