Mehmet Çabuk murder case: Remains found after killer's confession
New details have emerged regarding the 2016 murder of Mehmet Çabuk, who disappeared at age 27. Following investigations highlighted on the Müge Anlı program, İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, who is currently imprisoned for other crimes, confessed to killing Çabuk. Düzgün stated that after an argument in January 2016, he struck Çabuk on the head with a hard object and buried him in a garden.
Human remains were discovered approximately 2.5 meters underground following a tip from a viewer, after initial searches at a different location proved unsuccessful.
Further chilling details were provided by Çabuk’s ex-wife, İlknur Düzgün. She alleged that she was forced to plant green onions over the site where the body was buried, noting that her children played in the greenery above the grave. She also claimed she and her children were threatened by İbrahim Ozan Düzgün. Selma Düzgün, the mother-in-law, was also detained and has provided statements regarding the confession and subsequent threats.
