Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu performs solo show ‘Dünyada’ in London
Actor and director Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu presented his solo performance, ‘Dünyada’, in London as part of the Camden Fringe Festival 2026. Supported by the Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), the production was staged three times at The Cockpit Theatre.
Based on a contemporary interpretation of American playwright Will Eno’s ‘Title and Deed’, the performance integrates theater with live cinema. The work explores themes of identity, memory, migration, displacement, and belonging through a modern performance language. The production also features musical elements from Çağrı Sinci’s ‘Başkası’ album.
Prior to the festival shows, Nuroğlu participated in an English-language talk titled ‘In Conversation with Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu’ at the Yunus Emre Institute in London. During the session, he discussed his artistic journey, the creative process behind ‘Dünyada’, and the production's transition from Istanbul to London.
