Mehmet Hazar cycles from Antalya toward Georgia

Mehmet Hazar, a 46-year-old traveler, is currently cycling across Turkey to fulfill a long-held dream of slow travel. Having closed his places of business to pursue this journey, Hazar started in Antalya and has traveled approximately 805 kilometers, passing through Mersin and Adana before reaching Gaziantep.

To manage the costs of his trip, Hazar works various daily jobs in the cities he visits, such as washing dishes, to fund his needs. He travels with a tent and essential equipment, opting to cycle in the early morning hours to avoid the intense heat. While he initially attempted to cover 100 kilometers in a single day, he has since adjusted his pace to an average of 40 to 50 kilometers per day to ensure sustainability. His current goal is to continue his journey through Turkey and eventually reach Georgia.
