Mehmet Meral appointed as Erzurum Provincial Health Director

Specialist Dr. Mehmet Meral has been appointed as the new Director of the Erzurum Provincial Health Directorate by the Ministry of Health. He succeeds Dr. Gürsel Bedir, who previously held the position.

Dr. Meral, born in the Tortum district of Erzurum in 1976, graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. His medical career includes experience in emergency services, intensive care, and family medicine. His administrative background includes serving as the assistant chief physician at Erzurum City Hospital and as the Head of Public Hospital Services within the Provincial Health Directorate.

Following the announcement, local political and administrative figures, including AK Party Erzurum Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu, issued messages of congratulations to Dr. Meral and expressed gratitude to Dr. Bedir for his service.
