Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality invests in water infrastructure

The Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality has issued a statement addressing public discussions regarding water services in the region. Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu emphasized that the administration is focused on solving problems rather than ignoring them, directing municipal resources toward infrastructure improvements.

Key investments include strengthening the existing water network, improving distribution capacity, and investing in water lines, storage, and alternative sources to minimize disruptions during peak consumption periods. The municipality also reported that 922 households had their old or faulty water meters replaced at no additional cost to the citizens.

The administration urged that these issues should not be used for political debate or perception management during the election process, suggesting that progress should be evaluated based on concrete data and investments made to address historical infrastructure deficiencies.
