Meho Bradić indicted for bribery in Central Bosnia

Meho Bradić, a prosecutor for the Central Bosnia Canton Prosecutor's Office, has been indicted for accepting gifts and other forms of benefit. The indictment was filed by the Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-cantonal Crime of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of FBiH.

According to the indictment, Bradić allegedly demanded money from a witness, identified as “A”, to avoid filing charges and to facilitate the return of the witness's previously seized mobile phone and pistol. The prosecution claims that at the time of the demand, Bradić had already issued an order not to conduct an investigation against the witness. In a separate matter, he reportedly notified the Ministry of Internal Affairs to return a seized pistol to the witness without the witness's knowledge.

Bradić initially requested 2,000 euros but later agreed to accept 1,000 euros. Following a report from the witness, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted an investigation involving an informant and a simulated bribe. Bradić was apprehended after receiving the 1,000 euros, which was subsequently seized. The prosecution has proposed the examination of 13 witnesses and one expert, along with 60 pieces of material evidence, for the main trial.
