The 2026 Meia Maratona do Sol Sicredi is set to take place this weekend in Natal, Brazil, featuring approximately 20,000 athletes. The event includes 5 km and 10 km races on Saturday, followed by 21 km and a kids' race on Sunday.

This edition marks a 25% increase in participation compared to the previous year. It is the first running event to hold the status of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Rio Grande do Norte and has received the Road Race Label from World Athletics, a certification held by only 15 Brazilian races.

The Arena das Dunas will serve as the central hub for the event, hosting starts, finishes, kit distribution, and a sports fair. Organizers estimate that over 80,000 people will circulate through the venue during the festivities.
