Meike expands GFX autofocus lens line and launches new 85mm f/1.4 for Nikon

Meike’s first autofocus lens for the Fujifilm GFX system, an 85mm f/1.8, attracted stronger demand than expected at the Shanghai Photo and Imaging Expo, prompting rumors that the company plans additional G‑mount lenses such as a 65mm f/1.7 and a 110mm f/2. The 85mm f/1.8 was officially released in Asia earlier this month, weighing 406 g and featuring an STM motor.

Separately, Meike introduced the 85mm f/1.4 STM MIX II, a new version aimed at Nikon Z users (also compatible with Fujifilm E and Leica L mounts). Priced at $569, the lens is about 20 % lighter than its predecessor, built from hard‑plastic with a metal mount, includes a rubber dust‑seal gasket and a USB‑C port for firmware updates, and is offered in three colour options. Initial reviews highlight improved optics and handling compared with the earlier model.
