Meiko Career Partners to provide Japanese language support in Shimane

Meiko Career Partners Co., Ltd. has been selected by the Shimane Prefectural Federation of Small Business Associations to provide online Japanese language learning support for foreign workers in Shimane Prefecture for the 2026 fiscal year.

The initiative aims to support the retention of foreign human resources within the prefecture and prevent outflow to other regions, especially in light of the upcoming introduction of the training and employment system in 2027. The program targets technical intern trainees and specified skilled workers employed by small and medium-sized enterprises in Shimane.

Through the e-learning system ‘Japany’, participants will receive support for Japanese language proficiency necessary for work and daily life. To reduce the financial burden on local companies, Shimane Prefecture will subsidize a portion of the usage fees, reducing the cost from 9,900 yen to 4,950 yen per person. The system features over 1,700 videos, multi-language interfaces for 12 languages, and curriculum designed for JLPT and business-specific Japanese.
