Međimurje officials honor firefighters for Olympic success

Međimurje County officials held a formal reception to honor local firefighting teams following their performance at the International Firefighting Olympics in Eisenstadt, Austria.

A standout achievement was recorded by the female A team from DVD Palinovec, which secured a gold medal at the competition. The team, led by coach Ivan Petar Srpak, included members Maria Murković Srpak, Ema Perković, Nina Klobučarić, Ana Jančec, Petra Hajdarović, Katarina Jančec, Iva Fileš, Viktorija Horvat, Ema Hajdarović, Mija Horvat, and Tihana Srpak Čemerika.

In addition to the gold-winning team from Palinovec, the county was represented in Eisenstadt by two other teams from DVD Palinovec and a team from DVD Gardinovec. County Prefect Matija Posavec praised the participants, noting that their success reflects a strong, well-organized firefighting system and years of dedicated training and sacrifice.
