Međimurje Open karate tournament sees success for Croatian clubs

The 30th Međimurje Open in Čakovec, a major international karate tournament featuring over 1,000 competitors from 118 clubs and 11 countries, saw significant performances from Croatian clubs.

Karate klub Karlovac 1969 secured nine medals, including two silvers and seven bronzes, earning 15th place in the overall fighting rankings. Silver medalists included Matko Puklavec and Vito Baršić in the U12 category.

KK Optimist Zadar achieved notable success with seven medals won by five competitors. The club ranked fourth among all participating clubs in the kata category. Individual achievements for the Zadar-based club included a first-place finish for Luka Milić in the junior cadet kata category.
