Međimurje to host humanitarian walking project for disability inclusion
The third edition of the humanitarian project ‘Let’s Walk for Those Who Can’t – 100 km in 24 Hours’ is set to take place in Međimurje, Croatia. The central part of the program will be held in Prelog on September 5 and 6.
Presented at the Tourism Palace of Međimurje County, the initiative aims to use sport and community engagement to highlight the importance of including persons with disabilities in social and athletic life. The project seeks to provide concrete assistance to improve conditions for physical activity among this demographic.
Međimurje County Prefect Matija Posavec emphasized the region's commitment to inclusion and equality, noting previous successes such as the ‘No Boundaries’ project, which enabled 317 people with disabilities to participate in sports and led to the installation of adapted outdoor gyms. The event features participation from the Dinamo Zagreb Foundation ‘Nema predaje’.
