Meitetsu Toyota Hotel to host student-led local food collaboration

Meitetsu Toyota Hotel has announced a special collaborative project titled ‘New Brilliance of Local Production and Consumption: A Banquet with Young Sensibilities.’ Running from September 1 to October 31, 2026, the initiative aims to promote the appeal of local ingredients from Toyota City through the creativity of the younger generation.

As part of the project, students from Chukyo University and Kamooka High School will work with the young farmers' group ‘Yume Nōnin Toyota’ to develop new menus. The hotel’s professional chefs will then refine these student-led ideas into high-quality hotel cuisine. The event will feature special menus across various hotel dining venues, including Seasonal Kitchen Le Bonheur, Nihonryori Ogawa, Teppan Keyaki, and Lounge HIMAWARI. Additionally, the project will include exhibition corners introducing local producers and participation in the ‘Gurutto! Asia Gourmet Rally 2026 in Toyota.’
