Meituan driver reportedly flies from China to Singapore for small food delivery

A delivery driver wearing a Meituan jacket reportedly flew from China to Singapore to deliver a single order of curry puffs valued at approximately 13.50 SGD (277,000 VND). The driver claimed the flight cost him 454 SGD (roughly 9.3 million VND).

The incident occurred at the Hong Lim Curry Puff stall located in the Paya Lebar Quarter Mall. The event has sparked online debate regarding whether the occurrence is a genuine event or a promotional stunt for the Chinese platform Meituan.

Victoria Loh, the founder of Hong Lim Curry Puff, expressed happiness over the attention, stating that the moment felt as though her two years of business efforts were being rewarded by spreading the taste of Singapore.
