Mekece Social Facility in Pamukova Near Completion
Construction of the Mekece Social Facility in the Mekece neighbourhood of Pamukova district, Sakarya, has reached about 95% of the planned work. The project, built by the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, covers a 630‑square‑metre footprint. Inside, a 470‑square‑metre main hall, a stage and a cafeteria are ready, while the outdoor area will feature green spaces, children's play groups and pavilions.
Mayor Yusuf Alemdar of Sakarya announced that the final touches are being applied and the centre will open shortly. The venue is designed for weddings, invitations and a range of cultural and social events, aiming to become a hub for community life in Pamukova. Site inspections were attended by AK Party provincial chair Yunus Tever, Pamukova mayor Fatih Akın and neighbourhood head Erkan Engin.
