Mel Maia shares fitness progress and upcoming acting role

Brazilian actress Mel Maia has shared a video on social media documenting her physical training routine, specifically focusing on pull-up exercises. Maia stated that her current goal is to gradually increase the number of repetitions she can perform.

In addition to her fitness updates, it has been confirmed that Maia will join the cast of the upcoming telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil 2’, scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The announcement was made during the Globo 2027 Upfront. Maia, who played the character Rita as a child in the original production, will return to the series to portray a new character. She will join a cast that includes Adriana Esteves, Débora Falabella, Murilo Benício, and Cauã Reymond in the production written by João Emanuel Carneiro.
