Melaka government completes new bridge in Kampung Bukit Hantu

The residents of Kampung Bukit Hantu in Rembia, Melaka, have seen a long-standing issue resolved with the completion of a new bridge. For 40 years, the community faced flooding issues that frequently disconnected the village.

Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh approved an allocation of nearly RM200,000 for the project. The bridge was designed as a traffic bridge with specific considerations for height and elevation to remain functional during high water levels. The project also included bank stabilization components to ensure long-term durability. Construction began on April 15 and was completed on July 15.
