Melaka prepares for National Landscape Day 2026

The state of Melaka is finalising preparations for the National Landscape Day (Hari Landskap Negara) 2026, a four‑day national celebration scheduled for 6‑9 August at Stadium Hang Jebat. Fifteen pavilions, each built by a local authority, will showcase creative landscape designs, including natural elements, wild‑plant displays and even lifts, aiming to attract visitors from across the country. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the event will highlight sustainable development and boost Melaka’s profile as a tourism and event destination, with free admission and additional attractions such as home‑decor sales.

The chief minister, after a site inspection with department heads and agency officials, confirmed that the federal government has entrusted Melaka with the hosting duties. The summit ceremony is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, underscoring the event’s national significance.
