Melanie C DJs at Brighton Pride after honeymoon

Spice Girls singer Melanie Chisholm, known as Melanie C, performed a DJ set at Brighton & Hove Pride on Sunday, August 2, shortly after returning from her honeymoon with husband Chris Dingwall. She wore a sports‑bra crop top and shorts, energising the crowd with remixes of her own hits and tracks such as Kylie Minogue’s “Padam Padam”. The event also featured a reunion performance by British pop group Five, whose former member Jason Brown had dated Melanie C in 2000. Other headline acts included Paris Hilton, who appeared in a Union Jack mini‑dress reminiscent of Ginger Spice’s 1997 BRIT Awards look, and Diana Ross, who sang classics in a white gown and cape.

Melanie C said the LGBTQ+ community “made me more accepting of myself”, and her appearance highlighted the continued friendship with former boyfriend Brown and the celebratory atmosphere of the Pride festival.
