Melbourne music venues to host LOUD WOMEN Fest and Folk Music Awards

Melbourne is hosting two significant music events at local venues. The LOUD WOMEN Fest Naarm/Melbourne is scheduled for Sunday, 22 November, at the Bergy Bandroom in Brunswick. The festival features a diverse lineup of 12 bands from Australia and the UK, including Bitch Eyes, Eris and the Disciples, Operation Karma, and UK-based acts IRKED and I, Doris.

Additionally, the Brunswick Ballroom will host the Australian Folk Music Awards on 21 October. Organized by Folk Alliance Australia, the event recognizes talent across various categories, including contemporary and traditional folk, songwriting, multicultural contributions, and youth artists. The evening will include live performances from respected Australian folk musicians and the presentation of the People’s Choice Award.
