Melbourne police investigate two separate violent assaults

Police in Melbourne are investigating two separate violent incidents involving physical assaults.

In the first incident, a 27-year-old man was knocked unconscious during an attack on Hampshire Road in Sunshine. CCTV footage shows the victim being punched while on the ground, with a woman also participating in the assault before the suspects fled in a white dual cab ute. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following what police believe was a verbal altercation.

In a second, unrelated incident in Glenroy, a 58-year-old man sustained serious injuries during an alleged road rage attack. Following a minor collision involving a moped, a verbal exchange escalated when a moped rider threatened the driver with a knife. The victim suffered a significant hand injury requiring surgery after being punched and slashed. The suspects, traveling on mopeds, fled the scene heading south on Pascoe Vale Road.
